A 70 yr old hypertensive, non-diabetic lady presented with a 2 years history of a painless, slowly growing swelling on the anterior aspect of her neck which is red in colour. On Inspection (Picture attached), the swelling is red coloured, situated anteriorly slightly to the right side near the right sternoclavicular joint that does not move up on attempted deglutition or tongue protrusion. On palpation , the swelling appears nodular, about 2*3 cms in measurements, mobile, not fixed to any underlying structures but appearing to be tethered to the overlying skin that is erythematous. The local temperature is not raised.
On Auscultation, no local bruit is audible above it. Past history reveals hysterectomy, done 4 years ago due to c/o post-menopausal haemorrhage. The TAH & BSO specimen on HPE revealed nothing abnormal though. At present, her treatment history revealed intake of…
