Significant etiological factors resulting in morbidity and mortality in clinical anesthesia practice are difficult airway and tracheal intubation. As the consequences of failed tracheal intubation are potentially serious, considerable attention has been focused on measures to predict the patients in whom laryngoscopy and intubation may be difficult.
