The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared testosterone enanthate subcutaneous injection for testosterone replacement therapy in males with conditions associated with an absence or deficiency of endogenous testosterone. It is the first subcutaneous testosterone enanthate product approved by the FDA for once-weekly self-administration using a disposable autoinjector. It has been approved in the dosage strengths of 50 mg, 75 mg, and 100 mg.

The subcutaneous dosing of testosterone enanthate removes the transfer concerns commonly associated with gels and potentially decreases the need for in-office injection procedures that may require more frequent patient visits.
