We have to Wake Up! My son has secured a MCH seat in Tamil Nadu Govt. through merit(non service) He is asked to sign a bond for 25 lakhs to serve in the govt service for 5 years after completion of MCH course wherever posted. The irony of the clauses in the bond is that they will not be issued the MCH degree certificate unless they serve for five years. Further they have to also deposit their MS and MBBS certifictes.
They have to bring in three sureties, one spouse, one parent, and another non blood relative for the said 25 lakhs and also, produce adocument copy for an equivalent amount of 25 lakhs. There is already a court ruling that certificates should not be withheld. But the govt can get clauses of the bond fulfilled in a manner permissble through court of law if there is a breach.
