Every year 25th April is celebrated as World Malaria Day. Malaria, an important parasite born infection in humans, reporting more than 214 million cases per year. However, successful implementation of global policies has decreased incidences of malaria by 37 % and mortality by 60 %. Malaria parasite infection in pregnant women is a severe health problem rendering a significant threat to pregnant women, her fetus and to the newborn. The guideline published by Royal College of Obstetricians provide an evidence-based information for the diagnosis and treatment of malaria in pregnant women.
