The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has launched a nationwide mass screening drive to reduce India’s non-communicable disease (NCD) burden. The campaign targets individuals aged 30 years and above to detect and diagnose common NCDs, including diabetes, hypertension , and oral, breast , and cervical cancers. The initiative will be carried out across Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) and various healthcare facilities under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD).
Through this month-long campaign, running from February to March, the government aims to achieve 100% screening of the target population for NCDs.
