Mr. RD a 36-year-old man weighs 80 kg and has a BP of 170/120. He smokes 24 cigarettes daily and drinks 150 to 200 ml of various brands of alcohol/wk. He has a sedentary occupation. He eats excessive quantities of saturated fat and salt.
Mr RD subsequently stopped smoking and lost some wt but remained hypertensive. He was treated with Atenalol 50 mg daily. His BP came down to 166/112 but he developed tiredness and bradycardia and complained of erectile dysfunction. What are the treatment options for RD?
