A 57-year-old man was scheduled for ophthalmological surgery and presented to the cardiologist for pre-operative evaluation. The patient’s medical history comprised heart failure and coronary stents. He also had complaints of fatigue and breathlessness. Physical examination did not reveal anything remarkable. The echocardiogram showed a moderate dilation of the left ventricle, along with hypokinesis of the apical septal wall and the apical lateral wall, with an ejection fraction of 35-40%.
