Case presentation A 15-year-old female with complaints of sharp and persistent epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, coffee ground emesis, and decreased oral intake tolerance and urine output presented to the emergency department for the third time. Previous visits to the clinic Nine days earlier, she presented with nausea and vomiting. However, vomiting was resolved with promethazine treatment following a negative rapid strep test and urinalysis. One day earlier, she presented with similar symptoms and was given aluminum-magnesium hydroxide, lidocaine, sucralfate, omeprazole, and ondansetron.
