The devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have revealed the gaps in healthcare administration in India. Taking the post COVID situation into consideration, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded the setting up of the Indian Medical Services (IMS), similar to the IAS, IPS, and IFS.
