Researchers from the UK have found an association between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and distrust in the National Health Service’s (NHS, UK) COVID-19 information, hesitating against vaccination, finding the government’s COVID-19 restrictions unfair, and violating COVID-19 restrictions 1 . ACEs comprise psychological, physical, and sexual maltreatment, neglect, and growing up in a household with domestic violence, substance abuse, and other criminal activities.
