Synopsis Spinal canal stenosis is most commonly seen in cervical and lumbar part of the spinal cord. Multi-level spinal canal stenosis was first reported in the year 1964 and the term tandem spinal stenosis (TSS) was coined back then. There are various treatment modalities for TSS but at present no study suggests a clear clinical benefit to any of the management techniques.
The study was thus conducted to provide clinically meaningful data which could support a particular management technique for TSS.
