Kerala has successfully reduced the prevalence rate of HIV infections in adults to 0.07 compared to the national rate of 0.20. with this achievement, the state is on track to avoid new infections, reaching the United Nations’s sustainable development goal target ahead of the 2030 deadline. The state has implemented effective prevention, care, and support systems to control the HIV epidemic. Notably, Kerala adopted the "One to Zero" strategy, aiming for zero new infections, zero AIDS-related deaths, and zero stigma and discrimination.
Additionally, the state is progressing toward the 95:95:95 target by 2025.
