In an incredible medical accomplishment, a multi-disciplinary team of doctors from the Narayana Health City, Bengaluru, India performed the world’s first ‘Patent Ductus Arteriosus’ (PDA) stenting on thoracopagus twins with conjoined hearts. The surgery marked the region’s first successful thoracopagus separation surgery and the surviving baby is reportedly the third miracle baby in the world to have been saved by this type of surgery.
