With many methods claiming success in losing weight, even clinicians sometimes feel lost in the whirl of the information. The following article provides brief insight about current clinical practices for management of obesity with dietary therapy. The optimal management of overweight and obesity requires a combination of diet, exercise, and behavioral modification. In addition, sometimes patients with uncontrolled obesity will eventually require pharmacologic therapy or bariatric surgery.
