Suction blister (SB) and micro punch grafting (MPG) are established surgical options for treating stable vitiligo , yet direct comparative evidence remains limited. To address this gap, a randomized study evaluated both techniques in 31 patients, using the Vitiligo Area Scoring Index (VASI) and repigmentation percentages as outcome measures. Both SB and MPG produced significant improvements in VASI (0.19 vs 0.18 at baseline; 0.21 vs 0.25 at week 4; 0.42 vs 0.49 at week 12) and repigmentation (51.4 vs 60.2 at week 4; 55.1 vs 65.4 at week 12) over time. However, MPG demonstrated superior outcomes at 12 weeks, with significantly higher repigmentation rates.

Additionally, MPG was associated with better patient satisfaction scores and repigmentation quality. Minimal adverse effects, including scarring and discoloration, were reported in both groups. Overall, the findings indicate that both…
