A 65-year-old male with a history of rectal cancer received hemodialysis for 7 years for the treatment of diabetic nephritis. During a follow-up examination, the CXR showed an aggregation of high-intensity granular shadows in the left upper quadrant. He was advised a CT scan which showed high-density granular deposits along the lesser curvature of the stomach wall. The patient was further screened on a gastroscopy.
Gastroscopy findings: Multiple white foamy plaques in the lesser curvature of the upper body of the stomach. Laboratory investigations: BUN- 30 mg/dL (Normal range, 8.0-22.0) Serum Creatinine- 10 mg/dL (Normal range, 0.6-1.1) Serum Phosphorus- 6.1 mg/dL (Normal range, 2.6-4.5).
