The current article is an update in the field of oncology, adopted from FDA news about current drug approvals. Recently, FDA has approved a combination of two drugs namely, Inotuzumab and Ozogamicin for the treatment of adults with relapsed or refractory B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The annual rate of ALL occurrence is approximately 30 to 40 per million. Only 20-40% of adults with ALL are cured with current treatment regimens.

Unfortunately, up to 25 percent of adults with ALL have a disease that is resistant to the initial induction of remission.
