The OPD and IPD treatment charges in government hospitals will now be hiked to Rs 25 and Rs 45 per day respectively, and a regular private ward will also cost more as compared to the previous standard charges. The Government of Uttarakhand has mandated various strata of healthcare centers to hike their OPD treatment charges. This decision was reported to be applicable across the state from 1st January 2020 . According to the government, the IPD rates in government hospitals will now be Rs 45 per day as opposed to Rs 40 per day earlier.

A regular private ward will now cost Rs 200 per day and an AC room will cost Rs 600 per day. Additionally, the OPD registration will now cost Rs 25 and the indoor fees for various wards will be hiked up to 10% .
