It was 11:30 pm when police official brought a 30-year-old male after RTA. Patient was dead already, ECG was done immediately. It was straight after that we declared dead. Suddenly after 40-45 minutes patient relative's came to casualty telling that why you are not seeing our patient. We explained in a very polite manner that we are sorry as patient was already gone before he was brought to casualty. After explaining so much, a guy came shouting and told that he is a doctor and show him ECG. We showed ECG to him, he was telling that ECG is not straight, actually he is a dentist and arguing even we have declared officially dead.
After that he threatened the doctors and misbehaved with the staff. What should a doctor do in such a situation? Whether he should lodge a complaint against them? Or just leave the matter as we also know that they lost a young family member? Kindly suggest.
