A 62-year-old woman reported with pain that was located in the head of the left fibula for the last three months. She reported the severity of the pain to be at a range of 6-8 on a scale of 1-10. She described the pain as a dull ache and cramping with radiation that was mainly nocturnal but aggravated with walking.

Her GP had given her paracetamol and NSAIDs for three months, but no improvement was reported.
