Synopsis Proximal humerus fracture is the third most common non-vertebral fracture pattern accounting to 5-6% of all fractures in adults. Surprisingly, there is an increased trend of surgical intervention for proximal humerus fracture despite lack of clarity on how severe the need for surgery is in reality.
