A woman presented to her GP with reactions on her face after applying cosmetic cream the previous night. She had been using the cream regularly. But this time, her face was edematous, strictly limited to the areas where the cream had been applied. The patient also complained of itching and a burning sensation on her face. She applied the cream with her bare hands, but there were no reactions on her hands.
She affirmed that she washed her hands thoroughly after applying the cream. There was no itching, urticaria, or erythema on other parts of the skin.
