Cancer of the uterine corpus consistently ranks as the most common gynecologic malignancy. The standard surgical treatment for endometrial cancer includes a hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO). Recent prospective data and advances in laparoscopic techniques have reported endometrial cancer can be successfully managed with minimally invasive surgery in the majority of cases.
