Case presentation A 58-year-old man presented to the dental hospital with a chief complaint of swelling in the left anterior region of the upper jaw for a year. The swelling initiated in the oral cavity and gradually progressed to the size of a large walnut. The patient reported no other associated pain or discomfort. Dental history The patient was diagnosed with ossifying fibroma at the same site 18 years ago, which was operated along with extraction of 11, 12, 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25.

The patient was a partial denture-wearer until recurrence. Medical history The patient was a smokeless tobacco user for the past 20 years.
