Uterine sarcomas are rare tumors that account for 3% of uterine cancers. Described risk factors for these tumors include unopposed estrogen stimulation, tamoxifen treatment, obesity, and diabetes. Due to their low incidence and the fact that they lack a preinvasive stage, there is no established practice for screening these tumours. This article focuses on the different therapeutic approaches used for treating these sarcomas.

Uterine sarcomas comprise about 1% of all gynecologic menaces and the incidence of its prevalence ranges between 0.5 and 3.3 cases per 100,000 females per year.
