A female child 1.5 month old, wt is 5 kg, c/o watery discharge (though very few drops at a time) sometimes clear fluid but sometimes with reddish tint since last 7 days. No signs of inflammatory changes, no fever, no foul smelling. Feeding is ok, bowel bladder habits are ok. Child is looking healthy.
Chord stump falls down its own after 5th day of delivery and after that umbilicus was dried. But since last few days discharge started without any manipulation. I advised to keep the area clean and local application of povidone iodine powder. So what could be the cause and what could be the line of management?
