A study shows that virtual video visit used at hospitals can replace the office visit for patients successfully. The team of Schwamm and Donelan from Massachusettes General Hospital (MGH) reported that virtual video visits at the hospital can replace patient visits to the clinic successfully, without compromising the communication and health care quality.
The lead scientist of this research, Karen Donelan, ScD, associate professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, says, “Some of the participants in our study were parents of children who needed multiple frequent visits or older patients for whom travel was difficult to arrange.
