An 18-month-old boy was admitted to the hospital with fever, diarrhea, mild cough, typical skin lesions, and oropharyngeal involvement. Laboratory examination Leukocytes: 25.05 WBCs/mcL with 71% neutrophils Erythrocyte sedimentation rate: 100 mm/h C-reactive protein: 30 mg/L Rotavirus infection: Positive Test for other infections: Negative Culture from skin lesions: Negative Skin lesion biopsy revealed intense edema of the upper dermis and dense neutrophilic inflammatory infiltrate of the lower dermis. No abnormal findings were observed in the screening of concomitant malignancy. Treatment An immediate corticosteroids treatment reduced fever, improved stridor and general condition of the child.
