A 58-year-old school teacher suffering from Benign Spindle Tumor in the neck underwent a 6 and a half-hour-long complex tumor removal surgery at Thumbay Hospital, Ajman. The surgery was a complicated one as the patient was suffering from diabetes and the tumor was located in a vulnerable position in her neck. To make things even worse, the patient had a rare O-negative blood group and had lost 18 Kg due to Dysphagia. The patient initially was suffering from difficulties in swallowing solid foods, and her voice was getting hoarse.

Later, a lump developed on her throat. This led to the further aggravation of discomfort in her throat. Since the tumor was located in a critical position, the doctors at a hospital in her hometown were against any surgical intervention due to increased risk of surgery-related fatal consequences.
