A 24-year old patient presented to an Otology clinic with a seven-week history of sudden-onset of right-sided hearing loss and vertigo. History A week after suffering from right-sided hearing loss, she developed left-sided hearing loss. One month after the onset of her symptoms, she was evaluated by an otolaryngologist who suspected that the patient is suffering from Cogan’s Syndrome due to the presence of blurry vision, photophobia, eye pain, and excessive watering. She was treated with a high dose of prednisone and referred to an otolaryngology department for further management.
Observation On presentation to the clinic, her vertigo and imbalance had almost resolved but her hearing did not improve.
