Synopsis Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a blood clotting in a vein. It is a third leading vascular diagnosis and found to be the main causes of maternal deaths in developed countries. Obesity is one of the main risk factors for VTE. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between maternal body mass index (BMI) and pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism.
