Case presentation A 12-year-old boy presented with a complaint of multi-focal digital swelling on both his hands . He developed this swelling gradually over six weeks , on the first and fourth digits of his right hand , followed by the fifth digit on his left hand . The swelling was painful and did not resolve after treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication.
