Synopsis Over 90 percent of the glaucoma patients have open-angle glaucoma that progresses slowly and can lead to vision loss and other vision problems. Intraocular pressure (IOP) is a significant cause of glaucoma. In open-angle glaucoma, hypertension may lead to breaking down the optic nerve producing a blind spot. The ophthalmic solutions or drugs (hypotensive drugs or solution) that can help to reduce elevated IOP can be an excellent addition in the regimes that treat a patient with open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
