Synopsis Glaucoma is a progressive multifactorial disease defined by significant damage to the optic nerve. This results in a progressive visual loss; if left untreated, it can lead to permanent blindness and be a significant cause of visual morbidity. Eye drops to normalize ocular pressure are one of the mainstays in glaucoma therapy. However, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) has also proven to be a great alternative option for such cases.
