A pre-term female infant was born at 25 weeks with a birth weight of 820 g. She suffered from respiratory distress, patent ductus arteriosis, chronic lung disease, retinopathy, mild periventricular leukomalacia, hypoglycemia, grade 1 intraventricular hemorrhage, and prematurity in the neonatal intensive care unit. She was treated with a single dose of indomethacin and 2 red blood cell infusions.
