A 45-year-old woman presented to the clinic with severe pain in her right leg. She had first noticed the pain about 6 weeks before, but it had been constant after that. She had been facing a difficulty in walking, sitting at a desk all day and using the foot pedals for the audio typing machine. She reported shooting pain down her right leg like an electric shock. She felt a dull ache in her back and buttocks, particularly on the right. She denied any bladder symptoms.
She had no history of surgery or trauma, and she had never experienced similar symptoms in the past. Examination Overweight (110 kg) and looked depressed General medical examination- unremarkable. Presence of antalgic gait with obvious discomfort on walking and on bending down. Cranial nerves and upper limbs: normal. Lower limbs (tone, power and coordination): normal No objective sensory loss to light touch, pin-prick,…
