In every household for our Infants, parents use infant walkers for infants' movement. But now the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is pushing for a complete ban on making and selling of infant walkers in the US, to prevent the many injuries it causes to little kids, babies and toddlers. In the US, infant walkers continue to be a common reason children end up in the emergency room. A recent study published in the journal Pediatrics showed that more than 230,000 children younger than 15 months old were treated the emergency room hospitals from 1990 to 2014.
That's an average of 2,000 children being treated for skull fractures, concussions, broken bones, and other walker-related injuries. The AAP said infant walkers give parents a false sense of security. A baby in a walker can travel at speeds up to one meter per second. It gives parents little time to react to dangerous situations.…
