The famous young and handsome cricketer Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with extragonadal germ cell tumour in 2011. It was seminomatous in nature. He underwent chemotherapy under an oncologist at Indiana University's Cancer Centre, who is credited with revolutionising the treatment for germ cell cancers.
Extragonadal primary seminoma is very rare.
