The USFDA has recently approved capmatinib, a kinase inhibitor for the treatment of adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The approval was based on a clinical trial in which capmatinib was targeted to study the antitumoral activity in adult patients.

Patients who had NSCLC along with MET exon 14 skipping, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) wild-type, anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) negative status, and at least one measurable lesion were involved in the trial.
