Synopsis Chronic sciatica is known to be resistant to the simple treatment regime, necessitating the need for the addition of additional anti-convulsant. This need is largely met by the addition of gabapentin (GBP) and pregabalin (PGB). It’s often a common practice among practitioners to shuffle between the use of GBP and PGB as an when there is any regulatory issue regarding the subsidization of any of the 2 drugs.

Thus, in such a scenario lack of knowledge regarding the cross-over between the 2 drugs may hinder in achieving the desired patient outcome. Therefore, the present study aims at investigating the best treatment therapy for adults with chronic sciatica when such a scenario demanding cross over in faced.
