A 5-year-old girl presented with pruritic lesions on both legs. The lesions had appeared three weeks before and had progressively increased in size and become ulcerated. She was afebrile, and her ulcers were bleeding. Her C-reactive proteins were mildly elevated and WBC count was normal. Skin swabs sent for culture were positive for Staphylococcus aureus, Group A Streptococcus, and Corynebacterium diphtheriae.

Predominately gram-positive Corynebacterium was detected in Gram’s staining. What can be the probable diagnosis? *This case is from the Docplexus Editorial Team for educative purposes only. The answer has been posted in the comments section.
