Pediatric patients with focal seizures require careful management because of the fatalities associated with uncontrolled seizures. Lacosamide is an AED with anticonvulsant activity and selectively enhances slow inactivation of voltage-gated sodium channels. The study described below aimed at evaluating the efficacy and tolerability parameters of lacosamide in pediatric focal seizures.
