Researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the University of Chicago have observed that a single, one-hour treatment with the inhalation of a blend of oxygen and the sedative drug nitrous oxide (NO), also known as laughing gas, can benefit patients with depression resistant to medication or therapy.
