Highlights Measured Glomerular Filtration Rate (mGFR) is a better measure of renal function than Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR). The mGFR/eGFR ratio was negatively correlated to GFR, comorbidity, high age, and female sex. A low mGFR/eGFR ratio was associated with mortality and the need for early dialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease stage 5 (CKD5).
