Effective waste management forms an integral part of the management of healthcare system in hospitals and medical institutions. However, a well-recognized medical college decided to neglect the rules laid-down for segregation of bio-medical waste, thus placing the healthcare of the proximity in jeopardy. The present case study describes the actions taken to resolve this issue and prevent further consequences of biowaste mismanagement.
