In India, at present all undergraduate and postgraduate admissions in medical colleges are taking place through NEET exam. The government of India is going to introduce a uniform national exit test (NEXT) for all medical students at undergraduate level.It will be difficult for the medical students to write the exam as they were not aware about NEET and NEXT while taking admission to the medical colleges. They are not prepared for the exam in a manner, the government is expecting from them.

If NEET and NEXT will be there, the role of universities will be abolished.These exams will also create a lot of burden on students and their parents in terms of money and time.So we have proposed National Examinations for medical students (NEMS) as an alternative for both NEXT and NEET.
