A 2-hour-old male newborn was examined by a pediatrician but he did not show the usual red reflex in either eye under an indirect ophthalmoscope. There was a grayish-white reflection in both eyes. He was born after a complication-free, normal delivery at 38 weeks . However, his mother had flu-like symptoms in her early pregnancy. There was no family ocular history. The mother denied smoking, drinking, or taking drugs during her pregnancy.

Visual Acuity (cc)- OD and OS: Reacts to light Pupils: Round, equal, and reactive to light. No APD was observed.
