A 55-year-old nurse had been suffering from intermittent episodes of red, hot and swollen knees for the last 10 years. She had been diagnosed with monoarticular arthritis. She had been taking NSAIDs and intermittent steroid injections.

The patient had to later undergo Knee Replacement Surgery. However, several months after surgery, symptoms reappeared and she was admitted for a post-operative knee infection.
