Patients Under Anaesthesia (General or Regional ) Do Tolerate Desaturation and Hypoxia, Far Better Than Cardiac Arrest

1) Patients under Anaesthesia (General Or Regional ) do tolerate desaturation and Hypoxia, far Better than  CARDIAC ARREST. 2)  Surprisingly patients desaturated to Critically Low Oxygen levels, for a long time recover Absolutely Normal on Resuscitation ie patients tolerate hypoxia better than cardiac arrest. 3). But With Patients with 100% oxygen saturation, if got cardiac arrest— Have very very little time, without Adequate resuscitation efforts.

4)  If Adequate chest compressions are Not started within 10 -15 seconds of cardiac Arrest— Recovery Of Brain becomes delayed, sometimes residual loss, sometimes even brain death. 5) Chest compressions and vasopressor administration— are of Prime importance and should not be delayed More than 10- 15 seconds from the onset of cardiac arrest. 6).
